Two Thousand Ten

Arrive to Berlin on Saturday morning. Meet with a couple of friends for the weekend. Americans, Dutch, Germans....
In Berlin till Friday and then off to Cologne...and then...Who know?
I have extended my ticket for 10 more days...a surprise! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Day are flying!!
Been mostly at the Institute....
Thrusday we had some student and presentations and a professor from Hannover.
All German... Buuuu..... but still interesting!
After that we got a little celebration. Some wine and chat. Prof. Sobek joke how hard is life at ILEK...as you can see
some wine and food. Still in school till 11ish... or so.
Friday another excuse to celebrate... this time SUMMER. On a rainy day! But first some work. Got there around 7ish in the morning.
After the SUMMER bar-b-Q we head to the next architecture party in downtown. Got to check a pavillion, to ended up in a local bar or so call. Not sure what they call dance here.... but it seems that what they were doing. They may need some more alcohol or some dancing lessons.

Weekend was good. So far seen the Killesberg Mt with it tower, the Mercedes Benz and Porsche Museum. Ended up hanging with this sweet Spanish girl I meet on Friday. We when dancing, to the bars, dinner and walk around town. Funny she had another Chilean friend. All Spanish speakers!!

Munich was a bunch of fun! The gay weekend was going on and what a better way to celebrate than to be at a gay bar with my Irish friend. They also had concert going on and a few very well dress "ladies" on their high heels.
Visited the Allianz Arena and the Herz Jesu Church. Oooh and the BMW Welt. All fantastic!

I arrive to Stuttgart on Sunday night. Had an email from my Thesis advisor to see if I had made it to Stuttgart. We ended up meeting today to have a little tour of the ILEK Institute and meet some of the Grad students. All PhD.
I got a desk to start working right away!!! Fantastic!! Now I just need the motivation!! Still in vacation mode. The next couple of weeks will be some work.
Just saw a bit of the city on my way back of the Institute. It is gorgeous. Oh! Did I say that the place that I'm staying is on a hill where I have a nice view of downtown? Very nice place.... but not as much fun as Munich. Mostly older people.

Made to Germany. Just took the day off and walk around. Everything looks like a fairytale... beautiful!!
Got two people from Israel as roomates last night and an Irish (the funniest!). He is in Munich for a while trying to learn German. He is also working at the hostel. Had some good stories. Probably for later! Got a bunch of pics yesterday that I will try to post on Sunday. Today is also the gay parade that I apparently miss. Probably head out now to the Olympic Station. Seems like it would be a full day. SOOOO hot here and humid!!!

In Chicago to re-pack, dance and get some things ready for the final destination!
